Under the knife? Miranda Lambert has transformed beautifully over the course of her country music career. Aside from her musical talent, fans adore the “Mama’s Broken Heart” artist for her personality. Nevertheless, some have wondered whether the Texas native ever got plastic surgery following her 2015 divorce from ex-husband Blake Shelton. However, the speculation had already started long before then.

After her dramatic 45-pound weight loss in 2013, the Academy of Country Music Award winner was bombarded with claims of liposuction. Upon noticing the rumors, the singer was quick to combat the allegations. In a since-deleted letter posted to her website, the country singer set the record straight.

“Though I NEVER care what the tabloids have to say about me, I wanted to address this certain story they are running this week and set the record straight,” she wrote that year. “I DID NOT have surgery to lose weight. That is ridiculous.”

She continued, “I lost my weight the healthy and good old fashioned way. Watching what I eat and working out with my trainer, Bill Crutchfield. As for the assumed number of pounds lost …? I don’t even know! Like I have always said, it’s not about a scale, it’s about how you feel and how your jeans fit.”

Despite her denial, fans still speculated over Miranda’s slimmer face, as well as her more defined nose.

Plastic surgery claims aside, Miranda just hopes to be a body positive role model for her fans.

“I am proud to be a normal size girl and I want to encourage everyone to be confident at any size,” she concluded in her 2013 website post.

The “House That Built Me” singer later opened up to Health magazine about weight fluctuations

“I’ve been all sizes,” she told the outlet in November 2019. “My whole life, I’ve struggled with ups and downs in weight. I’m only 5-foot-4, so, weight shows quickly on me. I’ve hit a comfortable place … this is pretty much my size.”

Miranda also explained that body image is the “last thing [she] want[s] to be thinking about. I don’t give my best performance when I’m distracted by my insecurities.”

“There was a time when I wasn’t happy about the way I looked — but I was happy about where I was in my career, so I was like, ‘I’ll worry about that later,’” the “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” artist noted. “I had a girl come up to me. She was probably my size and age, and she said, ‘I want you to know I threw my scale away because of you, because you’re so confident. I realized my weight is not in a scale … it’s in how I feel about myself.’ That gave me confidence to be like, ‘Whatever state you’re in, you’ve gotta rock it.’”
